At this point in the Green Bay Packers schedule prediction, I am half way through the season. Right now, I have the Packers at 6-2. This stretch of games look to be the toughest of the season. This includes games against Lions, 49ers, Bears, and Dolphins on Thanksgiving night. Here is how I see this part of the schedule playing out.
Green Bay Packers Schedule Prediction: Week 9: Home vs Detroit
This will be one of the most intriguing games on the Green Bay Packers schedule. These two teams are seen as the top two teams in the NFC North and the entire NFC. Detroit gave big pay days to quarterback Jared Goff and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown,
One question mark surrounds both these teams: can they repeat what they did last year? No one saw the Lions knocking on the door to the Super Bowl and no one could have seen the Green Bay Packers make the playoffs when they were sitting at 3-6 just before Thanksgiving. I think the Packers win this game at home and make just a few more plays on defense. It should be a good game.
Week 11: At Chicago Bears
If you’re a Bears fan, this game is written all over your schedule. There should be a ton of optimism and playoff hopes after drafting Caleb Williams with the number one pick in the NFL Draft. Williams should go down as the best Bears quarterback in franchise history.
On paper, there is a lot of talent on this team. Impact players are everywhere on both sides of the ball. Bears fans and player want the losing streak to end to the Green Bay Packers and will be chirping leading up to this game. However, I think the Packers go into Chicago and beat the Bears. I think the lead up and the hype leading up to this game is fuel for Green Bay.
Week 12: Home vs San Francisco 49ers
You better believe the Green Bay Packers have this game marked on their calendars. It will be a re-match of an NFC Divisional Playoff game from last year. As the seven seed, Green Bay walked into Santa Clara and went toe for toe with the top seeded 49ers. They should have won that game too. However, a missed field goal allowed San Francisco to march down the field as score in the final moments of the game.
The 49ers are just a bad matchup. It’s not a bad thing if you’re Green Bay. The 49ers are a tough team and doesn’t best themselves. Over the Matt LaFleur era, that toughness and physicality has been an issue for this team. The crowd should be electric, but I think Green Bay drops a home game.
Week 13: Home vs Miami Dolphins (Thanksgiving Night)
It’s been about 10 years since the Green Bay Packers last played on Thanksgiving Night. Not only is this a night game, but the weather could be a factor as well. There’s always the potential for snow and cold weather this time of year.
As we know, Miami has been really bad in cold weather especially with Tua Tagavailoa. There is no doubting the talent on the offensive side of the ball with wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. The temperature is too cold for the Dolphins to pull off an Thanksgiving night upset. Green Bay takes care of business in this one.
