Ford is a former sixth-round selection by the Arizona Cardinals in 2017. He signed with the Packers for the 2022 season after the Jacksonville Jaguars left Ford go after training camp. Ford was a defensive back before he played for the Packers.
Ford was listed as a safety in Joe Barry’s defense. He appeared in all 17 games for the Packers during the 2022 campaign and started in six games. Ford recorded 44 total tackles, one forced fumble, and three interceptions last season.
This is the second move in the secondary the Packers addreseed Friday. The Packers signed former New York Giants safety Tarvarius Moore earlier in the day.
