The Green Bay Packers will be looking to get off on the right note on Friday night against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. Green Bay’s offense will look to exploit the Eagles secondary. Romeo Doubs and other wide receivers have a chance to have a big night against Philadelphia’s defense.
On Wednesday, the Packers will travel to Brazil. Doubs is looking to be even better during the 2024 season with how he performed during the 2023 season.
Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Romeo Doubs Lands On Injury Report on Tuesday
Green Bay and Philadelphia listed their injury reports on Tuesday. One of the players who landed on the list was Romeo Doubs. He has a hand injury and it does not feel like there will be much concern. Doubs told Rob Demovsky of ESPN:
“It was a contusion on my hand and taking some time to heal and it is a day-to-day process. …I was able to function (in practice) the way I’m supposed to.”
On Tuesday, he was a limited participant in practice. A season ago, he played in all 17 games for the Packers. Doubs caught 59 passes for 674 yards receiving and eight touchdowns, averaging 11.4 yards per catch. He was targeted 96 times.
If Ruled Out Dontayvion Wicks Would Start
The good news for the Packers is that they have depth at the wide receiver position. If Doubs were to be out with a hand injury on Friday night, Dontayvion Wicks would start in his place along with Christian Watson and Jayden Reed. Many people are expecting Wicks to have a breakout season in his second NFL season.
Wicks started for Christian Watson in a few games last year. In 15 games played for Green Bay a season ago, Dontayvion Wicks caught 39 passes for 581 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Wicks averaged 14.9 yards per catch and was targeted 58 times.
It would not be a good start for Romeo Doubs if he were ruled out. He had another great training camp and preseason. Doubs at times looked like the number one wide receiver in camp for quarterback Jordan Love.
