“Prayers;” Green Bay Packers Fans React to Awful Romeo Doubs Injury Update vs Eagles

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (87) celebrates scoring a touchdown with wide receiver Christian Watson (9), wide receiver Jayden Reed (11) and running back Emanuel Wilson (31) against the Arizona Cardinals during their football game Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Green Bay Packers entered their Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles already missing one of their starting wide receivers. Christian Watson, as fans know all too well, tore his ACL in Green Bay’s Week 18 loss to the Chicago Bears. Not only will he be out for however long the Packers remain in the NFL Playoffs, but he will likely miss time in the 2025 season as well.

Unfortunately, the Packers also lost two of their starters in the first half due to injury. Elgton Jenkins exited with a shoulder injury and Devonte Wyatt left with a lower leg ailment.

And now it appears that Green Bay will be without another starting wide receiver for the remainder of the game.

Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Romeo Doubs Appears to Have Suffered a Concussion

The Packers finally got on the board in the third quarter on a Brandon McManus field goal. Prior to that kick, Jordan Love threw a pass to Romeo Doubs in the end zone that went incomplete.

Doubs had jumped in the air attempting to catch and came down hard on his back. It appears that the motion caused some sort of whiplash that injured his head, despite the fact that he was wearing a guardian cap.

If it is a concussion, it will be his second one this season.

Packers fans were understandably disappointed to see Doubs go down. Not that it was his fault, but head injuries are scary things, especially when they happen frequently:

It’s ironic that Romeo Doubs is the only one out there taking his health seriously by wearing the guardian helmet & not worried about how dumb it looks… and gets a concussion. I love football, but man, it’s brutal.#Packers are running out of players out there.

There is no helmet in the world that can protect someone’s head from a 10 foot straight drop into the ground.

    Prayers for Romeo Doubs 🙏

    — CoachSwami (@Moonlightswami) January 12, 2025

Romeo Doubs being down like this is sad because he took every possible precaution to protect himself.

    Praying he’s alright. This sucks

    — Joel Moran (@joelvmoran) January 12, 2025

Really hope Romeo Doubs is okay

Moments after Doubs left the game, Jayden Reed also had to come out with an injury.
