Green Bay Packers rival, the Detroit Lions, did not practice on Wednesday, but they were required to send out an injury report. Detroit has one of its key offensive players on the injury report, and it is wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. He is one of the key pieces on this Lions offense.
St. Brown has an abdominal injury, and there is no guarantee he will play this weekend against the winless Carolina Panthers. If he were ruled out for Sunday’s contest, he would be a huge loss for the Green Bay Packers rival.
On the season, in four games played, he has caught 26 passes for 331 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Amon Ra. St-Brown is averaging 12.7 yards per catch. He is one of the most underrated wide receivers in the NFL and is also the top target for quarterback Jared Goff. A week ago against the Green Bay Packers. he caught five passes for 56 yards receiving and a touchdown and averaged 11.2 yards per catch.
If Green Bay Packers Rival Wide Receiver is Ruled Out on Sunday, Expect Rookie Tight End Sam LaPorta and other wide receivers step up

If Detroit doesn’t have Amon Ra. St-Brown is in the lineup on Sunday. He will be missed for sure. However, there is one player that can get more targets and possibly receptions, and that would be rookie tight end Sam LaPorta. He has been a big part of the Detroit Lions offense so far this season.
LaPorta has caught 22 passes for 242 yards receiving and one touchdown. He has averaged 11.0 yards per catch so far this season. A week ago against the Green Bay Packers, Sam LaPorta caught four passes for 56 yards receiving and zero touchdowns. He averaged 14.0 yards per reception.
This would have been the perfect week to get wide receiver Jameson Williams going, but he is still suspended for another week due to the NFL’s gambling policy. Some of the wide receivers that will have to step up otherwise for the Lions are Josh Reynolds and Marvin Jones Jr. Maybe the Lions will continue to run the football with David Montgomery and rookie Jahmyr Gibbs. The Green Bay Packers rival still should be able to win this weekend even without their top wide receiver, Amon-Ra St. Brown.
