The Green Bay Packers are set to move forward with Jordan Love as their quarterback. While it is yet to be seen how good he really will be, there is a lot to be said for his commitment to the team. Not only has he shown up to the Packers’ voluntary offseason program, he also has endured ridicule from fans and analysts without lashing back. He did not ask to be in this situation, but he has gone through each step with no complaints. As Green Bay goes forward with a new quarterback for the first time in 15 years, one former rival scout explains why Packers fans should be optimistic about Love under center.
Green Bay Packers Fans Should Be Optimistic About Jordan Love

Matt Hamilton is now a producer and analyst for the Up and Adams podcast on Fox Sports. In 2013, he spent some time as a scout for the Detroit Lions. Late last week, Hamilton appeared on Up and Adams and broke down why fans should be optimistic about Jordan Love:

“First I want to look at the only regular season start he has had in his career, 2021 versus the Kansas City Chiefs. And one of the things he struggled with [getting the ball out on time]. Now this is from a preseason game against the New Orleans Saints… and you’ll see here the ball is coming out before Amari Rodgers breaks into the window. You can’t make a better throw than this. This is absolutely perfect.”
Hamilton then broke down a play from the game Love played in against the Philadelphia Eagles. In that game, Love was getting the ball out before his wide receivers were open. In other words, he was correctly reading the defenses and knew where the ball needed to be before the play fully developed.
Of course, there will be growing pains as there are with any new quarterback. However, Love is ready and bring a great deal to the table that fans should be excited about.
