The Green Bay Packers are going to look much different in 2023. The pending Aaron Rodgers trade had captivated headlines for over a month now. Rodgers declared his intentions to play for the Jets back in mid-March. While it is still presumed that the Jets are still the favorites to land Aaron Rodgers, multiple other teams have officially reached out regarding the four-time MVP. With Jordan Love set to take over as quarterback, the Green Bay Packers are showing heavy interest in adding one more wide receiver to their offense.
Green Bay Packers Showing “Real Interest” In Drafting Wide Receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba

I know people don’t want to set themselves up for disappointment, but NFL Draft Scout was one of the first (maybe THE first?) to connect Jordan Love to the Green Bay Packers just before the draft. If he’s hearing JSN to GB buzz, that’s real.
Multiple outlets have connected the Green Bay Packers to Jaxon Smith-Njigba (JSN) over the last few months. The Green Bay Packers haven’t taken a wide receiver in the first round of the NFL draft since 2002. That year the Green Bay Packers selected Javon Walker with the 20th overall pick. Could that trend break nearly 20 years later? Gery Woelfel had an interview with Smith-Njigba after the wide receiver met with the Green Bay Packers during the NFL Combine, this is what he had to say:
I asked ex-Ohio St. star Jaxon Smith-Njigba his take away from a formal meeting with the Packers Tuesday at the Combine: “They are definitely looking for a receiver.”
Jaxon Smith-Njigba attended Rockwall High School in Texas. He was rated a 4 star recruit by ESPN and handed a 5 star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Smith-Njigba opted to join Ohio State.
