The Green Bay Packers have built a reputation for drafting defensive talent in the first round, with eight of their last 10 picks being on the defensive side of the ball. In 2019 the Packers selected Rashan Gary out of Michigan with the 12th pick in the draft, after just two seasons Gary became the team sack leader and was re-signed to a high-value contract as a franchise cornerstone edge rusher.
In the 2023-24 Gary assisted the Green Bay Packers to a winning record and a playoff win with nine sacks and two forced fumbles. His stats did not jump off the page, though his impact was frequently felt. It seems Rashan Gary wants to up those stats and impact, revealing he’s not taking much of a break in off-season activities.

After being asked about where he was at, Gary made it clear what he was doing at this point in the offseason ” I’m in Dallas Texas, training”. A mentality all fans of the Packers want to see out of their premier edge rusher. Eisen probed his mentality “It’s like the middle of June here, you could think about taking a day off right? But that’s not how you become great September through February is it, Rashan Gary?” And Gary aptly replied,” Not at all, especially being a Green Bay Packer… to help my team get us to where we want to be, and that’s to hold that Lombardi Trophy.”
