The New York Jets brought in another former Green Bay Packers wide receiver into the fold. The Packers signed Allen Lazard earlier in free agency. Lazard was reunited with former teammate Aaron Rodgers last week after the quarterback’s trade became official. A second veteran wide receiver from the 2022 Packers team is set to be reunited with Lazard and Rodgers.

According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, Randall Cobb is set to sign with the Jets.
Aaron Rodgers has 534 completions to Randall Cobb, including in the playoffs, the second most to any player in his career behind Davante Adams and his 687, per ESPN’s @EpKap. https://t.co/ascYJsEHZ7

The move will give Rodgers another target he is familiar with. Rodgers said this week that he’s already happy with the talent of wide receiver Garrett Wilson. This signing will give Rodgers more depth in familiarity for the Jets’ offense this season.
The Packers appeared ready to move on from Cobb this offseason. They gave his number 18 jersey away to UDFA Malik Heath this week.
