The Green Bay Packers suffered a huge injury blow, as Quay Walker was ruled out during their Week 15 victory against the Seattle Seahawks for sustaining an ankle injury late in the first half.
Quay Walker needed medical attention and hobbled off the field, looking dejected. Eric Wilson replaced Quay Walker in the middle linebacker position. At this time, the Green Bay Packers have yet to release an update on his condition.
“Yeah, so we saw him get injured at the end of the first half,” NBC Sports’ Melissa Stark reported. “He spent seven minutes in the medical tent. When he came out he had a much heavier tape job on that left ankle. He limped around in pain.”
“You see he had the towel over his head in frustration,” Stark said. “He is out because of that ankle,” the sideline reporter added.
Why losing Quay Walker is tough for the Green Bay Packers
Quay Walker has been playing some of his best football this season, leading the Green Bay Packers in total tackles with 102 (72 solo, 30 assisted). The Georgia product also has 2.5 sacks under his belt.
Walker had three tackles before going out of the match. He finished the game with a low 44.2 PFF grade after also conceding a catch in coverage in one of his 22 total snaps.
The Green Bay Packers defense is already without cornerback Jaire Alexander and safety Javon Bullard due to injuries.
