Letroy Guion Sentenced To One Year In Jail

According to Fox 11 News:
GREEN BAY (WLUK) — Former Green Bay Packer Letroy Guion was sentenced to a year in jail for a domestic violence incident at his home.
Guion previously pleaded no contest to aggravated battery for the Sept. 26 incident. He was also placed on probation for three years at Tuesday’s hearing and must complete a domestic violence intervention program. Guion apologized to his wife, the Packers and the Green Bay community.
“I am deeply embarrassed and ashamed about this. I’m ashamed because… how could I let this happen? How could I do this to the woman I love?” he said. “In conclusion, I am a loving father who made a very big mistake, and I know in life there are consequences.”
Judge Thomas Walsh noted the seriousness of the offense — and wondering how upset Guion would be if another man had treated one his daughters this way.
Police were called to Guion’s residence in September, where officers found a woman “intoxicated and incoherent due to her injuries sustained from Letroy physically assaulting her.”
She opened a door, hitting him in the face, cracking a tooth — and, he may have blacked out. Guion said he “lost it a little bit.” Guion, who said they had both been drinking, admitted the woman might be hurt.
Letroy Guion spent three seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2014-2016. During that time he played in 44 games, starting 35 of them. He accumulated 54 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, two pass deflections, and one forced fumble. This came after he spent six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
