The Green Bay Packers’ offensive struggles have been on full display over the last four games. After starting the season 2-1 (and one fourth-quarter collapse away from starting 3-0), most fans and analysts were excited about the potential of this offense. However, four straight losses in a row has stymied that excitement.
One analyst thinks that the Packers could add a huge piece to their offense that would do wonders for Jordan Love.
The Green Bay Packers Are Predicted To Add OT Olumuyiwa Fashanu In The 2024 NFL Draft

Freddie Boston of Fansided elaborated on what the addition of Fashanu would do to this offense:
Priority number one for the Packers in the offseason is to fix the offensive line. That may require a shakeup to the coaching staff. The fact so many Packers linemen are underperforming isn’t a great look for the coaches.
But Green Bay also needs to add more talent, particularly at tackle, considering David Bakhtiari’s uncertain future. Zach Tom is doing an excellent job at right tackle, so there’s no need to move him, but the Packers need an upgrade at left tackle.
Fortunately, they may be perfectly positioned to draft Penn State’s Olumuyiwa Fashanu, the best tackle in the class.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper believes Fashanu would be the No. 1 overall prospect in most draft classes.
“Fashanu has the size, footwork and physical traits teams wanted in a high-end left tackle. He moves effortlessly and with urgency, getting his hands on second-level defenders with ease,” writes Kiper.
It doesn’t matter who is playing at quarterback; they are destined to fail without better protection from the offensive line. The Packers could find their left tackle for the next decade by drafting Fashanu in the first round.
If they end up with a top-five pick, they will have a great chance to draft him. Quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Drake Maye and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. could come off the board first. Fashanu would be a home-run pick for the Packers.
Would The Packers Use A Premium Draft Pick On An Offensive Tackle?

As Boston mentioned, Bakhtiari’s future in Green Bay is very much up in the air. It is not crazy to think that he won’t ever play another snap in a Packers uniform. Rasheed Walker and Yosh Nijman have taken turns at left tackle but neither one has taken a stronghold on the position.
Adding a left tackle of the future with a top five(ish) pick would make sense. The Packers’ front office has also shown they love spending elite draft capital along the offensive and defensive line. If Fashanu is on the available when the Packers are on the clock it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Packers snag him.
