Many people thought that the Packers were going to address either the defensive line or the cornerback position within the first three rounds of the draft and Green Bay never did. Well, there were some Packers fans who were thrilled with what general manager Brian Gutekunst did and there were some fans who were not. There were some good picks for the Packers and some picks not so much.
NFL Analyst Doesn’t Like the Green Bay Packers Selecting Offensive Lineman Anthony Belton In the Second-Round

CBS Sports insider Pete Prisco talked about each NFL’s team best pick and worst pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. For Green Bay, he thinks their worst pick was selecting offensive lineman Anthony Belton from the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the second-round. Prisco said,
“I didn’t love second-round tackle Anthony Belton. I thought he went a little higher than I expected. He’s big, but raw. Then again, the Packers do a nice job developing offensive lineman.”
Green Bay drafted Jordan Morgan from the Arizona Wildcats in the first-round of the 2024 NFL Draft. That surprised a lot of people and this selection of Belton surprised a lot of people here. Some fans felt like Green Bay needed help on defense with this selection and once again, Gutekunst takes another project to work with on the offensive line.
Some of Gutekunst’s drafting has been questionable. Outside of the Matthew Golden pick 23rd overall, was there another good pick by him for the rest of the draft? That remains to be seen for Green Bay. They reached on another offensive lineman in this draft. The former Texas Longhorns wide receiver feels like the only sure thing for the Packers in this 2025 NFL Draft class. Gutekunst better hope Belton and some other players pan out.
If they do not pan out, there is a chance that the Packers miss the 2025 NFL playoffs. That would call for this fanbase for the Packers to fire Gutekunst also.
