The Green Bay Packers will have high expectations to start the 2024 season. Green Bay is no stranger to having Super Bowl expectations year in and year out.
With the NFL regular season set to begin on Thursday night between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs, many NFL analysts are making predictions about them and the Green Bay Packers before the 2024 season. Some think that the Chiefs could very well be the first NFL team to 3-peat, while others are taking the field to win it all.
CBS Sports Pete Prisco Picks the Green Bay Packers To Win the Super Bowl This Season
Several NFL analysts on CBS Sports gave their picks for the Super Bowl this season. Pete Prisco of CBS Sports thinks that the Green Bay Packers will win it all this NFL season. Prisco said:
“The Chiefs will start in my top spot, but they won’t finish there. The Green Bay Packers will be the team to finish the season as the top team and Super Bowl champion.
The Packers are my pick for a variety of reasons. It starts with Jordan Love, who proved to many, including the Packers who gave him a mega-contract last month, that he is their long-term answer at quarterback. He’s only scratching the surface of what he can be and will be. He is going to be a star.
Then there’s the skill players. They are loaded. On the other side of the ball, the Packers have talent and now have a defensive coordinator in Jeff Hafley who will get the best out of them. That unit will be much improved.
The Packers nearly beat the 49ers on the road in the playoffs last year as a bunch of wide-eyed kids. That experience will help get them ready for a playoff push and Super Bowl appearance this season.”
To no surprise, however, many people have the Kansas City Chiefs are the top team in other people’s power rankings. However, analysts across the league are giving their respect to the Green Bay Packers.
Packers Ranked 2 On CBS Sports Week 1 Rankings
With the Packers having high expectations, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has them ranked number two in his Week 1 power rankings. The reasoning he gave was as follows:
” love the mix of veterans and young rising players on this roster. Jordan Love is the real deal, which is why this is a Super Bowl pick for me.”
Everyone is banking on quarterback Jordan Love to have an MVP season. It will not matter if they have a true number-one wide receiver or not. The biggest question will be how can this defense switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3 scheme be? The defense has to support Jordan Love when it matters the most.
