The Green Bay Packers finished the 2025 NFL season 9-7-1 and were the seventh seed in the NFC. Unfortunately, they were, once again, one and done in the NFL Playoffs, falling to the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card round. It was their fifth consecutive loss to end the year after having lost their last four regular season games.
Despite the disappointing end to the season, the Packers made the decision to give head coach Matt LaFleur a contract extension. In doing so, they expressed their belief that he is the right coach who will take them back to the Super Bowl.
And one NFL analyst believes that decision will also help result in some hardware for quarterback Jordan Love.
NFL analyst predicts Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will win MVP in 2026

In a recent article posted by ESPN, their insiders and analysts made early predictions what Super Bowl LXI matchups and which player will win the NFL MVP award in 2026.
One of them predicted that it will be Love who earns that honor next season, which would make him Green Bay’s third consecutive MVP quarterback:
“Next season will be Love’s fourth directing Matt LaFleur’s offense. Love dazzled with his arm talent in his first three and proved the Packers right in choosing to make him the foundation of their future. Love will take things to a new level and win MVP.”
As one can see, ESPN attributes retaining LaFleur and allowing Love to lead the offense for his fourth season as the starting quarterback to the prediction.
Last year, Love had the best season of his career with a 66.3% completion percentage, 3,381 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, just six interceptions, and a 101.2 passer rating. He missed two games, one with a concussion and the other because LaFleur decided to preserve his key starters for the postseason.
Indeed, Love has looked better and better since becoming Green Bay’s starting quarterback in 2023. While he played through injury all of 2024, he still put up better numbers in his second year, and was even more in control of the offense in 2025.
If the Packers can stay healthy, giving Love a full arsenal of Tucker Kraft, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Josh Jacobs, and Matthew Golden, there is no doubt that he can put up MVP numbers in 2026.
