The NFC North division is arguably the best in the entire NFL to date. With the Green Bay Packers scoring a win on Thursday during a Thanksgiving game at Lambeau Field versus Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins, they improved to 9-2 on the season.
Apart from giving their chances to make the NFL playoffs a shot in the arm, the Packers, with that success against the Dolphins, gave the NFC North three teams with at least 10 wins through 13 weeks in the 2024 NFL regular season.
Via OptaSTATS:
The NFC North is the first division in NFL history to have 3 teams with 9+ wins by the end of Thanksgiving Day.
The Lions remain atop the division with an 11-1 record after defeating the Chicago Bears on Thursday at home, 23-20. (Chicago is the NFC North with fewer than nine victories.) The Minnesota Vikings were the only team in the division that did not see action on Thursday, but they are already headed to Sunday’s clash against the Arizona Cardinals at home with a 9-2 record.
The Green Bay Packers sustain their momentum with a Thanksgiving win over the Miami Dolphins
Against the Dolphins, the Packers got a big lift from wide receiver Jayden Reed, who scored two touchdowns on three receptions and six targets. Meanwhile, running back Josh Jacobs rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Quarterback Jordan Love was efficient, passing for 274 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions and zero sacks taken while going 21-of-28.
Green Bay, which is on a three-game win streak, will enjoy a relatively longer break before locking horns in a Week 14 Thursday Night Football game with the Lions at Ford Field.
