The Green Bay Packers have said they’re keeping a door open to long-time player Mason Crosby this offseason. It appears the kicker is quite literally looking for another door to enter.
The Green Bay Packers drafted a kicker
The Packers selected kicker Anders Carlson in the sixth round of April’s draft. The move seemed to indicate Crosby’s time in Green Bay was over. The team has seen many veterans leave as a rebuild comes to Titletown.
Last month, Crosby’s wife, Molly, indicated Mason would not be signing with the Packers this offseason in a Tweet to Simone Biles. However, special teams coach Rich Bisaccia said two weeks ago the Packers were still communicating with Mason about signing him.
Mason Crosby sells his home
According to a report by Richard Ryman with The Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Crosby’s signed a deal to sell their home in Brown County:
“Green Bay Packers fans who still wonder about Mason Crosby’s future will be interested to know that the free agent kicker sold his Green Bay home.
Crosby sold 157 Garden Gate Court for $1.35 million on May 23, according to Brown County land records. He bought the house in 2016 for $620,000.”
The Crosby’s made about double their investment in 2016, not bad. Selling the home appears to be a sure sign Mason’s time with the Packers is over. He hasn’t signed with another NFL team yet, but selling a home is a sure sign that a big move is about to come.
