Even at his young age, superstar quarterback Jordan Love is poised to make more of an impact when the upcoming NFL season starts. The thing is, the Green Bay Packers’ star could have had a different career if he started differently in the league.
The Green Bay Packers have entered the offseason feeling excited about the future with Love. After a shaky start to their 2023 season, Love turned things around and emerged as one of the league’s hottest young quarterbacks by the end of the year.
In early November, with the Packers struggling at 2-5, general manager Brian Gutekunst acknowledged the importance of the final 10 games for Love’s development and the team’s trajectory. Though Love’s initial numbers were underwhelming, Gutekunst praised his ability to handle adversity and show flashes of potential.
Over the next 12 games, including a playoff upset of the Dallas Cowboys, Love transformed into a different player. His passer rating and completion percentage skyrocketed, and he led the Packers to within an inch of knocking off the eventual Super Bowl champion San Francisco 49ers.
Now, the Packers find themselves in a better position than last year, buoyed by Love’s breakout and the excitement surrounding the team’s young core. Without legendary QB Aaron Rodgers, the franchise is firmly in Love’s hands, and their optimism for the future is palpable.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Drops Intriguing Question About His NFL Career
While the Packers are in the midst of their training camp, Love found the time to share his thoughts in an interview with Tom Pelissero posted on X. In it, the superstar quarterback dropped an intriguing scenario about his career in the NFL.
“If I was the starter my rookie year, who knows where I’d be right now? It would’ve been a long journey.”

The Packers’ 2024 NFL schedule featured a challenging slate with a .526 strength of schedule, which is the fourth toughest next season. The team is expected to be a top contender in the NFC North, with their star QB leading the charge and the defense living up to its potential.
It remains to be seen how Love and Green Bay are going to perform once the new NFL season starts. If it’s something like the previous campaign, the Packers will be in a good position to succeed.
