The New York Jets are signing a former Green Bay Packers QB
The Green Bay Packers and New York Jets have been in talks for some time to trade a quarterback. The Jets are looking to go all in on the 2023 season. They want the services of Aaron Rodgers to do so. The Packers brass are turning their sights towards the Jordan Love era. On Thursday, the Jets signed a deal with a former Packers quarterback as negotiations continue on the Rodgers deal.
According to Mike Garafolo, the Jets are set to sign former Packers quarterback Tim Boyle to a one-year contract. Boyle will be back in Nathaniel Hackett’s system, as Boyle played under Hackett in Green Bay.

The Packers initially signed Boyle as an undrafted free agent in 2018. Boyle was with the Packers from then until the 2020 season. He’s spent time with NFC North division rivals the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears since. He will now head to the AFC for next season. Boyle will wait to be reunited with Rodgers until the trade the NFL world is waiting on goes through.
