As the playoffs near, nearly half the NFL already know where they’ll be drafting in this coming April’s draft. While the Green Bay Packers are still fighting for their playoff lives heading into the final weekend of the regular season, experts still made their predictions for who teams could be selecting when the draft rolls around in just a few months.

Prospects Breakdown
Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame
The most mocked player to the Packers is Notre Dame TE, Michael Mayer. The 6’4, 265-pound monstrous TE is undoubtedly the best TE prospect in the 2023 class and may only be rivaled by projected 2024 prospect, Georgia’s Brock Bowers as some of the best Tight End prospects in the last handful of years.
As a freshman in 2020, Mayer caught 42 balls for 450 yards to go along with 2 touchdowns. Mayer would follow up in 2021 with 71 catches that went for 840 yards and 7 touchdowns. In his final season in South Bend, Mayer hauled in 67 balls for 809 yards and a career high 9 touchdowns.
Brian Branch, DB, Alabama
The 6-foot, 193-pound safety offers some versatility as he’s no stranger to play corner both as a nickel and even bouncing outside as a boundary defender.
Branch has seen a jump in production every single season during his three-year run at Alabama, totaling 21 tackles, 5 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions during his freshman season in 2020. Branch would follow up his impressive freshman campaign with 45 tackles and despite not having any interceptions, part of that was due to him not being thrown at a ton, which shows off his potential when guarding in man scenarios. Last season as a junior, Branch logged the best season of his career, notching 63 tackles to go with 6 pass breakups, and a lone pick.
Jordan Addison, WR, USC
One of the most intriguing mock picks for the Packers is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Caleb Williams’ favorite target, Jordan Addison. The 6’0, 175-pound wideout spent two seasons at Pittsburgh before transferring for what would be his final season to USC.
In 2020, Addison caught 60 balls for 662 yards and 4 touchdowns. Addison’s final season at Pittsburgh was his true breakout season as the sophomore caught 100 balls for 1593 yards and 17 touchdowns from Heisman Trophy finalist, Kenny Pickett. After transferring to USC, this past season, Addison would snag 59 catches in from Heisman Trophy winner, Caleb Williams, to go along wit 875 yards and 8 touchdowns.
