After the Green Bay Packers defeated the San Francisco 49ers, they will now prepared for their Thanksgiving night matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Of course, the Packers will play host and the Dolphins could be heading into a game where conditions will play a factor.
Looking back at Miami’s team history, they have played a total of 74 games in below freezing weather outdoors. Things have not gone well for them.
To this point in time, the Dolphins have only won 25 of their 74 attempts in outdoor football games in below freezing weather.
All of that being said, what does the weather forecast currently look like for Thursday night’s game?
Weather To Be An Intriguing Factor for Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins Game
Right now, the conditions do not look to be favorable for Miami. That doesn’t mean anything necessarily, but it’s going to be very cold on Thursday night.
At this point in time, it’s expected to be a low of 20 degrees and there are chances for snow flurries and snow showers throughout the game. The chance of snow is listed at 24 percent right now.
For the Green Bay Packers, they would love nothing more than to play in cold weather with snow. Over the years, the Packers have been known for thriving in cold weather scenarios against their opponents.
Adding together Green Bay being used to playing in the cold and the Dolphins struggling in those situations, it sure looks like an advantage for the Packers.
That being said, Miami has been red hot of late. They have won three straight games as they get healthy and are starting to look the part of a legitimate contender once again.
The Packers, on the other hand, are 8-3 after defeating the 49ers in Week 12. Green Bay will be looking for another win to further bolster their playoff odds and keep pace in the NFC North.
Expect to see a very entertaining and cold game on Thursday night. Hopefully, the Green Bay Packers can take advantage of the weather conditions and come out with another win.
