The Green Bay Packers met with a quarterback this week
The Green Bay Packers headed into the NFL Scouting Combine not sure of the quarterback roster for this fall. The Packers met this week with a top quarterback prospect who was invited to the combine. The player expressed interest in learning the NFL game under quarterback Aaron Rodgers next fall.

Rodgers has not discussed whether or not he intends to play or retire in 2023. A decision from Rodgers’ camp is expected to come before the start of free agency. General manager Brian Gutekunst spoke at the combine this week.
Gutekunst appeared to support both Rodgers and Jordan Love as starters for the team next season. Gutekunst’s team used the week to get to know potential Packers’ prospects in the upcoming draft, including a BYU quarterback.
Jared Hall talks about Aaron Rodgers
Video posted on Twitter by MJ Hurley shows quarterback Jared Hall talking to reporters at the combine. Hall admitted he met with the Packers and gushed at the prospect of getting to learn behind Rodgers:
“That’s one of the greatest that you could be behind to learn from,” Hall said of Rodgers. “I watch him a lot; I watch the Packers offense. I love watching him do his thing, so to be able to learn from someone like that as a young quarterback would be phenomenal.”

Hall threw for 3,171 yards while throwing for 34 touchdowns and six interceptions during the 2022 season at BYU. According to The Draft Network, Hall is considered a fourth-round value pick. If Rodgers stays in Green Bay next season, there’s a good chance the Packers could trade Love this offseason. Hall could be a prospect for the Packers to choose as a backup to learn the offense for the future in 2023.
