You could make an argument that among all the quarterbacks in the league, the Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love stands out as one of the QB’s that will have the most pressure on their shoulders in 2023. After all, not too many signal callers out there are trying to emerge from the shadow of a four-time NFL MVP and easily one of the greatest quarterbacks to have ever picked up a football.
Jordan Love Has Found His Swagger as Green Bay Packers’ QB1, Per Matt LaFleur

If you ask Packers coach Matt LaFleur, however, it’s been so far so good for his new star quarterback. In fact, LaFleur had nothing but good things to say about Love taking on the role of Green Bay’s cornerstone QB:
“I think what we’ve seen is he’s taken ownership of it,” LaFleur said, via Bill Juber of Packer Nation. “That’s obviously really tough to do when you’re the backup. I’ve experienced that with other guys, whether it’s Kirk Cousins when we were in Washington, you can kind of see when they get their opportunity how they command it. It’s been cool to see him grow and get more comfortable being the guy. Shoot, I don’t know about you guys, but yesterday at practice you could see he was out there with a little swag. I thought he was out there executing at a high level, too. So that’s kind of fun to see these guys grow right before your eyes.”
There’s obviously a bit of bias here, but at the same time, you also have to note that LaFleur has had a chance to work with some all-time great quarterbacks. LaFleur’s most recent encounter was with none other than Aaron Rodgers, who also happens to be the same man Jordan Love is trying to replace in Green Bay.
This won’t happen overnight, though. In fact, it’s very much possible that Jordan Love will not be able to reach the same heights Aaron Rodgers has in his decorated career. However, what is clear is that the young quarterback is taking the gargantuan challenge head-on — and with a bit of swagger along the way.
