There remains no certainty about the status of Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love for Week 4’s showdown at Lambeau Field against the Minnesota Vikings.
It will be terrific news and a big boost for the Packers if Love takes over the QB job again this coming Sunday, but Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur still has concerns about the signal-caller, particularly about his security in the pocket against the dangerous pass rush of the Vikings.
Via Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal:
“That’s definitely a concern,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur admitted. “We’ve got to do a great job in terms of our protection calls, making sure we get a body on a body. And then, you’ve got to go and actually block these guys — which isn’t the easiest task to do either. “They’ve got a lot of good rushers in there. I think they rush collectively as a unit as good as anybody. I mean, their ‘pick’ games that they’re running, it causes a lot of carnage on the offensive line at times.

Green Bay Packers’ offensive line needs to step up against the Minnesota Vikings especially if Jordan Love returns
The Packers have allowed just five sacks so far this season — tied for fourth-fewest in the league — but that’s largely because Green Bay has gone run-heavy of late, with Malik Willis serving as a placeholder for Love.
Once Love returns, the Packers’ pass protection will be put to bigger tests. If Love returns from injury this weekend, the Packers’ O-line will need to hold up against Minnesota’s pass rush that has generated 16 defensive sacks through three weeks — the most in the NFL.
