Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers suffered a brutal Week Four loss vs. the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night. Fresh of their 18-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints, the Packers were feeling good going into their matchup vs the Lions. However, the Lions jumped all over the Packers to start the game and never looked back. Detroit’s offense did just about anything they wanted and it reflected on the scoreboard. It was 27-3 at the half, not in favor of the Packers.
After the game Matt LaFleur got pretty heated with one of the Packers’ beat writers. Today he issued an apology for that.

According to Matt Schniedman with The Athletic, LaFleur was asked by a reporter about why the Packers struggled in the first half. LaFleur called the question “BS.”
“I mean, you saw it. I mean, we got our ass kicked. If I knew, it wouldn’t have happened.” Before the next question could be finished… LaFleur: “That’s a BS question, man.”
Following that loss, LaFleur was understandably frustrated. (LaFleur said before the second half he was embarrassed about how the team played in the first half.) However, the reporter was asking a valid question.

LaFleur has historically been great with reporters no matter the time of year. He even apologized to the media and the fans after the Packers were bounced from the playoffs in 2022.
