The Green Bay Packers are 8-3-1 following their Thanksgiving victory over the Detroit Lions last week. While the win kept them in the NFC Playoff picture, they are still in second place in the NFC North behind the 9-3 Chicago Bears, who defeated the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday.
Unfortunately, however, the Packers did suffer a significant loss on the field. Interior defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt suffered a broken ankle and will be out for the remainder of the season. Without him, rookies Nazir Stackhouse and Warren Brinson will have to fill in and try to live up to his high standard of play.
But while Green Bay faces going the rest of the year without Wyatt, they just designated three other players to return from injury.
The Green Bay Packers designate Marshawn Lloyd, 2 others, to return

With five games remaining in the 2025 NFL season, the Packers have two games against the Bears, one against the Minnesota Vikings, and then matchups with AFC division leaders the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens.
In order to keep pace in a competitive NFC, Green Bay must win as many of these games as possible, especially those against their division opponents.
Fortunately, they are going to soon get three young players back from injury:

Marshawn Lloyd, a third round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has been out since training camp after suffering yet another hamstring injury. He missed virtually all of his rookie season with a plethora of various injuries.
Additionally, the Packers are getting former undrafted free agent pass rusher Brenton Cox back soon, too. He suffered a groin injury in Week One and has been on injured reserve ever since. Cox has rarely seen the field due to depth or injuries, but had 4.0 sacks in 2023 when he got a rare increased role on defense.
Finally, 2025 fifth round pick Collin Oliver, who also has been out since training camp with a hamstring injury, was designated to return. A defensive lineman, Oliver could help provide some relief with Wyatt out.
