The Green Bay Packers’ looming meeting with the Tennessee Titans in Week 3 carries a little bit more significance, particularly for Malik Willis. The young 25-year-old quarterback started his NFL career with the Titans, who traded him to the Packers just before the start of the 2024 NFL season.
At the time of the trade, it was hard to imagine Willis getting a start versus his former team early in the season. But with Jordan Love going down with an injury in a season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Packers have been forced to put Willis under center.

Malik Willis speaks up about idea of revenge game in Green Bay Packers vs. Tennessee Titans game in Week 3

It remains uncertain as of this writing whether Willis or Love will start against the Titans, but either way, Willis isn’t thinking of having a revenge game.
“I could care less, bro,” Willis told reporters when asked about his thoughts on the notion of a revenge game versus the Titans, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Willis made sure to let everyone know that he’s still grateful for the role the Titans played in his professional career even though he did not see much action on the field with the team.
“I think I got paid the whole time I was there, continued Willis, who was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft by Tennessee. “ I’m more than blessed for the opportunity they’ve given me. They brought me into this league, whether those guys are there or not. That organization, they took a shot on me. Miss Amy, they (did) great job by me, for all I’m concerned.”
Willis appeared in 11 games (three starts) in two seasons with Tennessee, passing for 350 yards to go with zero touchdowns and three interceptions.
