Green Bay Packers Fans Are All Making the Same Luke Musgrave Joke After Tight End Announces Marriage

The 2025 NFL season will be an important year for Green Bay Packers third-year tight end Luke Musgrave. When he was originally drafted by Green Bay in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, many expected that he would become an elite pass catching weapon in the Packers offense. And while he has shown flashes of that potential, injuries have kept him from realizing it.

Musgrave was limited to 11 games (nine starts) during his rookie season due to a lacerated kidney. He still caught 34 passes (a record for Packers rookie tight ends) for 352 yards and one touchdown.

Last season, the former Oregon State star appeared in just seven games due to an ankle injury that required surgery. He caught just seven passes for 45 yards.

And while he has been out, his fellow 2023 tight end, Tucker Kraft, has emerged as the pass catching threat many thought Musgrave would be and is a huge fan favorite.

Green Bay Packers Fans All Have the Same Joke About Luke Musgrave After He Reveals Wedding Photos

One of the things that fans often poked fun regarding Musgrave during his rookie season was the fact that he often lost his footing after making a catch. Indeed, he may have had far more touchdown receptions if he had not fallen down, tripping over himself, after making a catch.

And so, when it was revealed on social media that he had gotten married, Packers fans all made similar good-humored jokes about the Green Bay tight end:

Hope he didn’t trip down the aisle

There are so many potential stumbling blocks in marriage…
🥂 Here’s to hoping the Musgraves stay on their feet! 🥂

He fall down jumping over the broom?

    — PapaMatt (@papamattttt) July 18, 2025

I’m sure he had no problem falling down on one knee when he proposed

    — Will LevASS (@will__levASS) July 18, 2025

In all seriousness, it would be great for the Packers offense if Musgrave is able to stay healthy (and on his feet) this season. He is an elite pass catcher and can stretch the field better than most players at his position.

This season will go a long way in determining what his long-term future is in Green Bay.
