The Green Bay Packers had themselves an outstanding opening week of the 2023 season. Without their top wide receiver, the Packers knew it would be a challenge on the road in a divisional game. Nevertheless, Matt LaFleur couldn’t have imagined a better start to life without Aaron Rodgers than watching his team crush a division rival on the road.
Jordan Love completed 15 of 27 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns with a passer rating of 123.2. From the looks of it, Love has completely transformed from his early NFL days. He is ready, and he put the league on notice in Week One. However, in doing so the Packers may have put one of their former coaches on the hot seat.
Former Green Bay Packers Coach Luke Getsy Could Be On The Hot Seat After Week One Performance
A brutal first half by the Chicago Bears offense against the Green Bay Packers saw them score just six points and fail to execute on some crucial drives.
Aside from penalties and miscues, many fans believe that Luke Getsy’s playcalling contributed to Chicago’s offense’s failures.
Luke Getsy..
3/37 pass attempts went beyond 10 yards. The game plan was truly awful. pic.twitter.com/UVQaSsHqDS

I don’t like this Luke Getsy.
Enough with the screens. We need better plays.

I’ve already had enough of Luke Getsy

If Luke Getsy continues to call plays here in Chicago, it don’t matter who these mogs get to replace fields..
Offense will still be complete shit regardless
I hope Bears fans know that..

In reality, the Chicago Bears have 16 games left. A lot can happen in that time. The Bears’ young team will gain some experience and hopefully improve. There will also be many opportunities for Fields to settle into a groove with his receivers. However, the most pressure may be on offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. He can no longer make any excuses that his offense lacks talent.
This off-season, General Manager Ryan Poles added several high-end players to his roster. Fans had much higher expectations for their offense than what they showed in Week One. If the Bears have a few more dismal offensive performances, Getsy could certainly be looking for a new job.
