The Green Bay Packers will face the Indianapolis Colts in their home opener this Sunday with kickoff scheduled for NOON CT at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Injuries have already taken major headlines for several teams in the 2024 season.
The Green Bay Packers are worried about whether or not quarterback Jordan Love can be ready for this weekend for the Colts matchup. He has a sprained MCL and Malik Willis will start if Love can not play.
Green Bay Packers Face the Los Angeles Rams In Week 5 And Wide Receiver Puka Nacua Will Go On Injured Reserve
The Packers do not have to face the Los Angeles Rams until Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season, but they will have to not worry about one of the Rams’ star wide receivers, Puka Nacua. According to Rams head coach Sean McVay, Nacua has a PCL sprain and he will go to injured reserve.
He will miss at least the next four games for the Rams and this includes the Week 5 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. McVay mentioned that Nacua reaggravated his injury. He got hurt in the Sunday night football matchup against the Detroit Lions. Nacua caught four passes for 35 yards receiving and zero touchdowns against the Lions.
Packers Defensive Issues Appear to Be On the Ground Once Again
A season ago, the Green Bay Packers’ issues on defense were stopping the run. When they face the Rams in Week 5, they will try to run it often with Kyren Williams. Green Bay had a difficult time in Week 1 trying to stop Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
Not having to face Puka Nacua will be a big deal for the Packers’ defense, but they still have to worry about the Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp connection. Green Bay doesn’t have to worry about this for another few weeks anyway.
