The Green Bay Packers’ offseason officially began after their disappointing loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Saturday night. Despite an up-and-down season, the Packers are determined to build for the future and become genuine contenders in the NFC and the NFL as a whole.
Every year, all NFL teams face a list of players who are about to become free agents, including both significant contributors and practice squad players. This year, the Packers will encounter some complex decisions regarding their free-agent players.

An exclusive rights free agent is a player with just two or fewer accrued seasons and an expired contract. This is in contrast to a restricted free agent (three accrued seasons) or an unrestricted free agent (four or more accrued seasons)
