The Green Bay Packers are certainly one of the most unique teams in all sports. Their relationship with the fans is incomparable to those between other teams and their fan bases. One of the things that sets them apart is their annual Packers Tailgate Tour. This is a multi-day event in which current and former players take a bus tour across Wisconsin, visiting fans that normally would not have a chance to travel to Green Bay. It is this event, among other things, that had former Packers lineman Evan Smith singing the organization’s praise ahead of this year’s event.
Evan Smith Has High Praise for the Green Bay Packers

Evan Smith (formerly Evan Dietrich-Smith) is one of the Packers alumni that is participating in this year’s Tailgate Tour. He is joining Aaron Jones, Elgton Jenkins, Eddy Lacy, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Mark Murphy, and Davon House. Ahead of their departure from Lambeau Field, Smith had some high praise for the Packers organization:
“I was telling Mr. Murphy over there, my entire time playing this is something I’ve always wanted to do as a player. To me, it’s an honor to come do it. I’ve been up north and excited to go kind of see it again and go meet more of the fans and everything. This is right up my alley. I’m really pumped about this.
“I think the fans get to have one of the best game-day experiences in the entire NFL. I’ve been to all 32 stadiums and this is No. 1. It’s not even close. This is the standard in the NFL for gameday experience. I don’t really think that anybody else could hold a candle to it.
“I think the Packers do probably the best job in the NFL of giving fans everything that they want. If teams want to figure out how to do better, this is where they need to come and figure it out.”
After spending the first four years of his career with Green Bay, Smith played the last five with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It is really telling that, even though he did not play for the Packers for most of his career, Smith still holds the organization in high esteem.
Really goes against a lot of the propaganda Aaron Rodgers has been spreading.
