The Green Bay Packers will have to face Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams twice a year for the next several years. He was the number one overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of USC. Packers fans have heard from Bears fans all offseason long that they are going to be in the playoffs this year and that Williams is going to lead them to Super Bowl Titles.
This is coming from a fanbase who has lost 10 consecutive games to the Green Bay Packers. The rivalry between Green Bay and Chicago has been one-sided over the last several years. The last time the Bears won a game against the Packers, occurred during the 2018 season when Chicago won the NFC North Title.
It is going to be funny if the Green Bay Packers once again beat the Chicago Bears this season. Many people are forgetting that quarterback Jordan Love could be an MVP candidate this season and not Caleb Williams.
Former Green Bay Packers Kurt Benkert Makes a Bold Prediction About Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams
Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert went onto Twitter the other day. He made a bold proclamation about the Bears signal caller entering the 2024 season. This is what Benkert said on Twitter:
If Sam Darnold starts every game for the Vikings he will throw for more yards than Caleb Williams this season.

This is a very bold prediction for a lot of reasons. There are many reasons why Benkert will be wrong here. The first reason is even if Sam Darnold plays all 17 games for the Minnesota Vikings, the most yardage he has ever thrown for in NFL his career is 3,024 yards during his second NFL season with the New York Jets.
There is also a reason why Darnold has been a journeyman in the NFL. This is also his fourth different NFL team and has also played for the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers. Sam Darnold did not work as the starting quarterback with the Panthers and had to settle for being a backup quarterback last season for the 49ers.
This season, if things go bumpy in the beginning for him, there is no doubt that the fans will call for rookie J.J. McCarthy to start for the Minnesota Vikings. He was the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft from Michigan.
It would not be a surprise to see Caleb Williams throw for more yards than Sam Darnold by Thanksgiving. Maybe former Green Bay Packers Kurt Benkert was busy day drinking when making this post.
