There are a lot of players on the Green Bay Packers roster who will be a free agent after the 2024 season. Green Bay has been drafting well over the past few years. There will be some hard decisions that general manager Brian Gutekunst will have to make about it when the time comes.
However, some of the free-agent decisions may very well be no-brainers. Green Bay is not known also for signing free agents, but they signed two big free agents on the market this offseason. Running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney were the players that the Packers signed on the free agent market.

The Green Bay Packers down the road will also have to pay other players and not be able to keep everyone. What everyone wants to see happen before the season for Green Bay is for them to sign quarterback Jordan Love to a contract extension. After that is finished, they could worry about handing out other potential contract extensions to other players.
Green Bay Packers Defensive Lineman Kenny Clark Can Very Well Be In His Final Season With the Franchise

The former first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft is entering the final year of his contract. Kenny Clark is 28 years old and has been one of the anchors on this defense. He recorded 44 tackles, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and three pass deflections last season with Green Bay.

Sayre Bedinger of lombardiavenue.com said about Kenny Clark potentially being in his final season with the Green Bay Packers:
“In addition to former first-round pick Eric Stokes hitting free agency for the Packers in 2025, the team is facing a crucial juncture with defensive lineman Kenny Clark. Clark is slated to become a free agent next offseason and could be entering his final year in Green Bay with all of the young players the Packers have added to the defensive line in recent years.
Clark has been outstanding in Green Bay. The former first-round pick is one of the most underrated defensive tackles in the game and has made the Pro Bowl three times, including after the 2023 season in which he set a career-best with 7.5 sacks. It’s important to remember, however, that the Packers’ most prominent free agent in 2025 is Jordan Love, and his situation could mean a player like Clark gets replaced through the 2025 NFL Draft instead of being re-signed.”
Green Bay’s defense will be interesting to see this season. If Kenny Clark has another great season for the Green Bay Packers with a different defensive coordinator, they will need to find a way to re-sign him, but it is a business after all.
