Green Bay Packers: Josh Jacobs makes concerning revelation ahead of Week 15 vs Broncos

The Green Bay Packers are preparing for what will be their toughest game of the 2025 NFL season. On Sunday, they will take on the Denver Broncos, who are 11-2, the top seed in the AFC, and currently on a 10-game winning streak. The Packers, meanwhile, are 9-3-1 and have won four games in a row.

Obviously, having their best players all healthy would go a long way in helping Green Bay pull off the victory in Denver, something they have not done since 2007 when Brett Favre was the team’s starting quarterback.

Fortunately, the Packers saw several injured players, such as Lukas Van Ness, Dontayvion Wicks, and Matthew Golden return to practice this week.

Unfortunately, Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs remains sidelined, and his status for Sunday’s game against the Broncos is in question.

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is still dealing with a knee injury

Two weeks ago, Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs had to leave their game against the New York Giants early due to a knee injury. Fortunately, imaging done after the game revealed no structural damage. However, there was pretty significant swelling.

He was able to play against the Chicago Bears last week, though, and had 86 rushing yards and a touchdown. Despite this, though, he is not practicing this week as his knee is still bothering him.

And he is not sure if he will be able to play on Sunday:

Josh Jacobs said he underwent another MRI on Monday just to make sure he didn’t make his existing knee injury worse, and it came back clean. He just continues to deal with swelling, and it kicked in again vs. the Bears. He’s not making any declarations for Sunday yet. pic.twitter.com/5xkMfdnhjD

As one can see from the post above, Jacobs revealed that he had yet another MRI on his knee just to make sure it was still structurally sound. Fortunately, it is.

However, due to the swelling, the Packers are not sure if he will be able to play on Sunday.
