The Green Bay Packers rode on the shoulders of their new running back, Josh Jacobs, in their 16-10 win in Week 2 over the Indianapolis Colts. Jacobs did not score a touchdown, but he had 151 of the team’s total of 383 yards from scrimmage. He generated all of those on the ground and on 32 rushing attempts.
His 151 rushing yards were enough to make him the leader in that statistical department in Week 2, besting the likes of Brian Robinson of the Washington Commanders, JK Dobbins of the Los Angeles Chargers, James Conner of the Arizona Cardinals, and Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints.
Jacobs, a former star running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide, also shared a post about it on his Instagram account.

Expect Josh Jacobs to have a ton of touches again in Week 3’s Green Bay Packers games vs. the Titans
It was not all that clean of a performance for Jacobs, as he lost a fumble, but don’t expect the Packers to significantly cut down on his touches in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans. Quarterback Jordan Love appears to be unlikely to play in this coming Sunday’s game in Nashville, which means Malik Willis is trending toward another start.
In the Colts game, the Packers made sure to run the ball down the throat of Indianapolis to also limit the pass attempts of Willis. That could be the case again in the Titans game for Jacobs and the Packers, who are 1-1 so far in the 2024 NFL regular season.
Jacobs is currently on pace to surpass this season his total of 805 rushing yards in 2023 – his last year with the Las Vegas Raiders.
