Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers have already made it to Brazil, and they are now acclimatizing themselves in a unique environment. While Sao Paulo offers an atmosphere the Packers are not used to, the trip to the South American city is turning out to be a memorable one for Green Bay star quarterback Jordan Love.
Now on his second-year as a full-time starter for the Packers, Love opened up about the incredible reception he and the Packers have been getting since their arrival in Brazil.
Via Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette:
“It’s an awesome experience,” Love said. “A once-in-a-lifetime experience playing the first-ever NFL game here in Brazil. So that’s awesome. It’s been nothing but love since we got here. Fans were at the airport last night, they were at the hotel. So definitely a lot of love, and I’m excited to see what the atmosphere is like in the stadium tomorrow for the game.
Love is also looking forward to what kind of atmosphere it will be inside the stadium once they square off against the Philadelphia Eagles this Friday at the Itaquera Arena.
“I know it’s going to be rocking. So I’m very excited. I’m glad to hear Brazilians are all ready to be Packers fans now. So we’re converting everybody, but I’m excited. It’s nothing but love since we’ve been here.”
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers looking to get the job done in Brazil against a quality opponent
Love and the Packers can make their Brazil experience even more unforgettable if they manage to take down Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, who, like Green Bay, are widely considered as a major playoff contender. Philadelphia is also in the Super Bowl conversation. The Packers are coming off a 9-8 campaign in 2023, with Love showing plenty of promise to Green Bay as a potential franchise quarterback. In 2023, Love passed for 4,159 yards and racked up 32 touchdowns against 11 interceptions, while leading the Packers to the playoffs.
