A common characteristic of the Green Bay Packers is to place the most important position in all of team sports at the top of their priority list. The Packers will have had a franchise quarterback for three (going on four) decades if Jordan Love proves to be a success (which early returns are looking promising).
One of Love’s former teammates commented on Love expecting to become one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the league.
Former Green Bay Packers Tight End Comments On His Former Quarterback Jordan Love

Former Packers tight end Dominique Dafney saw Trevor Lawerence get a massive five-year, $275 million deal. His response? Jordan Love deserves that:
If this is how much he gets (and earned), I’m excited to see my guy J Love break the bank
Dafney had quite the football experience prior to landing in Green Bay:
Throughout most of his college days, Dafney was primarily used as a blocking tight end. He began his career at Iowa Western CC, before transferring to Iowa for the next two seasons. Across that span, he had two catches for 24 yards.
It wasn’t until he made his way to Indiana State for his senior season that Dominique was able to make some noise on the receiving end as well. He finished his lone year there with 196 yards and a touchdown, generating some NFL interest.
Dominique Dafney ended up signing with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He then got picked up by the Green Bay Packers, and saw some action throughout the next two seasons as he caught four passes for 60 yards and one score. Dafney started in four of the 15 games he was active for.
When Will Jordan Love Get A Massive New Contract?

When the Packers report to training camp on July 22, quarterback Jordan Love hinted he might have his next contract extension in place.
“That’s what I’ve heard,” he told the Associated Press on Tuesday.
As he looks forward to signing a long-term extension, Love indicated that his agent has kept him informed about recent negotiations and that he has reason to be optimistic. Is there a possibility that things could heat up once the Packers have completed their minicamp?
Keeping his cards close to his chest, Love said, “I think they should.”.
According to Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst, both parties want a contract extension signed before training camp. “We’d like to get this done before training camp for sure.”
