Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has struggled with ball security for the most part of the 2024 NFL regular season. He had thrown at least a pick in each of his first eight appearances this season — 11 overall against 20 touchdown passes.
However, it appears that Love has turned a corner with regard to that particular issue, as he’s had interception-less performances in his last two starts, which was noticed by Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
What we learned about the QB today: Maybe Jordan Love has fixed his interception issues. It was his second straight game without a pick after throwing at least one in his first eight games of the season, and unlike the previous game against the 49ers when he was nearly picked off several times, this time Love did not put the ball in harm’s way. He finished 21-of-28 for 274 yards and two touchdowns.

Love’s improvement in that area has helped power the Packers in high-scoring performances against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12 and versus the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving Day in Week 13. In the Niners game, Love threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns on 13-of-23 incompletions to help Green Bay score a 38-10 victory. The following week, he went 21-of-28 for 274 passing yards and two touchdowns in a 30-17 victory.
Love will put his interception-less streak on the line against the dangerous Detroit Lions this coming Thursday on the road. It can be recalled that Love threw an interception (a pick-six to Kerby Joseph) in the first meeting with Detroit in Week 9’s loss at Lambeau Field.
