When Green Bay Packers Jordan Love signed his contract before the start of the 2024 NFL season, many were expecting him to take the next step forward. However, there were times this season that Love showed more signs of being reckless with the football like Brett Favre and there were times he would make incredible throws like Aaron Rodgers would do.
Jordan Love this past season completed 63.1% of his passes for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He was 19th in the NFL in passing yards this season and tied for 10th in the NFL this season for passing touchdowns. Love threw fewer interceptions after the bye week.
Fox Sports Colin Cowherd Makes Critical Take Of Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love
On Wednesday, Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports 1 revealed his top quarterbacks in the NFL. He thought that Jordan Love was going to take the next step this season. Cowherd said on his show The Herd:
“I thought Jordan Love was going to move into tier 1 this year and he didn’t. He’s still a little reckless.”
Some Packers fans could probably agree with that. This is why head coach Matt LaFleur ran the football more often with Josh Jacobs this season. What also did not help Love was that he did not have a true number-one wide receiver.
Fans React
Yet you still insist Herbert is elite. At least Love has won a playoff game

Not one week were the Packers fully healthy. Lost WR1 before the playoffs and WR2 & 3 in the playoff game. Lost his best lineman in the 1st quarter and another in the second half. There isn’t 1 QB in the league that wouldn’t suffer a setback from that. What are we doing here?

There have been some critical takes from the fans about Colin Cowherd’s comments about Love. There were injuries to him this season and also injuries around him. It will be huge for Love to stay healthy in 2025 and prove himself.
