Green Bay Packers star quarterback Jordan Love is well, in love. Last June, Love proposed to her girlfriend Ronika Stone, which he said put him under immense pressure—even admitting that it was more stressful than playing the most important position in football in front of the crowd at Lambeau Field.

In an interview ahead of the Packers’ season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Love sat down for an interview with NBC Sports reporter Maria Taylor, who asked which event is more nerve-racking: playing at Lambeau Field or proposing to Stone?
“I’d say proposing to her,” Love said with a smile. “That was intense. Now, I’m ready for the season. I’m ready.”
Love and Stone met each other through a common friend, catching each other’s attention while the quarterback was having a FaceTime with a former high school teammate. Love also said that it took him only 10 days before he asked Stone if she could be his girlfriend.
“Ten days,” the Packers starter said. “I was moving fast. That’s how you know because I never move that fast.”
Green Bay Packers face pressure to surpass 2023’s performance
Speaking of pressure, Love and the Packers have some on their shoulders in the 2024 NFL season, as they look to prove that they can be a much better team than the one that finished 9-8 and made the playoffs in 2023 – Love’s first campaign as a full-time starter.
At the time of this writing, the Packers are scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday evening in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Then in Week 2, Green Bay will make its season debut at home versus the Indianapolis Colts.
