Jordan Love finally got a win as a starter for the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 NFL season, as he helped his team eke out a 24-19 win away from home last Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood. However, things did not all go smoothly for the 25-year-old signal-caller, as he made a big blunder in the second quarter.
While trying to avoid a safety, Love passed the ball which then got intercepted by Rams’ safety Jaylen McCollough, who immediately found the end zone for a Los four-yard interception return touchdown. McCollough’s heads-up play broke a 7-7 tie and gave the Rams the lea. Fortunately for the Packers, they managed to block the extra-point attempt by Los Angeles kicker Joshua Karty.

After the game, Love looked back at that error.
Via the Associated Press (h/t ESPN):
“The pick, it was a bad decision and it’s tough. But it’s all about how you respond and bounce back,” said Love, who completed 15 of 26 passes for 224 yards in his second start since missing two games with a knee injury.
Indeed, Love and the Packers bounced back from that error, as they ended up escaping California with a victory. Love had great chemistry in the game with tight end Tucker Kraft, who led the Packers with 88 receiving yards to go with two touchdowns on four catches and five targets, while Jayden Reed had four receptions and 78 receiving yards on five targets.
With their win on Sunday, the Packers improved to 3-2 and avoided being down in the cellar of the NFC North division, which the Chicago Bears (also 3-2) currently occupies.
Up next for Love and the Packers is a Week 6 showdown back home at Lambeau Field against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals.
