Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Has Better MVP Odds Than Established NFC North Quarterbacks

The Green Bay Packers may not have as big of a question mark at the quarterback position as we have made it out to be. For weeks, NFL analysts and fans have speculated about the future of Aaron Rodgers with the organization. Of course, Jordan Love is ready, willing, and able to become the team’s starting quarterback, and multiple reports state the Packers are ready to move on to him as well.

As it may seem, sportsbooks that set MVP odds for next season do not think the Packers will be that bad off no matter which quarterback is under center for Green Bay next season. In fact, both have better MVP odds than half of the other NFC North quarterbacks.

According to FanDuel, Rodgers has +1600 odds to win MVP next season. These are the seventh-best odds behind notable names like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow (all have +700 odds at the time of this writing). Other quarterbacks ahead of Rodgers are Justin Herbert (+900), Jalen Hurts (+1200), and Lamar Jackson (+1300).

It is not unusual to see Rodgers’ name among the favorites to win MVP. What is surprising, though, is that Jordan Love has better odds to win MVP than several established quarterbacks. Two of these are Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins and Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff. Love currently has +4000 odds to win MVP next season. These odds tie him with quarterbacks Kenny Pickett, Russell Wilson, and Trey Lance. Cousins and Goff both have +5000 odds.
