The Green Bay Packers are going to have some changes to make regarding their roster before the 2026 NFL season. Some players will leave in free agency while others will be released to save money on the salary cap. The flip side of these moves is that there will also be some free agents signed to make up for the players that the Packers lose.
Undoubtedly, there are several positions at which Green Bay needs to focus on in free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft. Among these, wide receiver is probably low on their list of priorities, but that has not stopped the Packers’ two biggest stars from trying to unofficially recruit a big name at that position.
Green Bay Packers stars Jordan Love and Micah Parsons want George Pickens to join them

Wm. Glasheen /USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin.
During the Pro Bowl, it was revealed by Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb that Packers All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons was talking to George Pickens about his upcoming free agency. What is more, the former Cowboys star was hinting that Pickens should come and join him in Green Bay.
“They are not getting him,” Lamb told Kay Adams.
But Adams interviewed Jordan Love on her show after that exchange, and he told her that he would be totally on board with Pickens coming to the Packers:
Jordan Love has a relationship with FREE AGENT George Pickens.
Same agent, they play hoops together.. IS THIS HAPPENING AGAIN??!!!@UpAndAdamsShow

“If we were going to bring in another player, George Pickens, he had a phenomenal year. He’s a great player. You know, I would love to have the most talented players on our team at all times. So, we’ll see.
“I would throw him a go ball and watch him go up and get it. You know, I play basketball with him. I know what kind of balance he’s got.
“George has the same agent [as me] as well. David brings us all out for a league week and we do some fun things.”
David Mulugheta, the agent who represents Love, Parsons, and Pickens, was a hot name last summer when it was revealed that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones refused to meet with him to negotiate Parsons’ contract situation.
Can the Green Bay Packers really add George Pickens?
As cool as it would be for the Packers to sign Pickens, who is coming off a year in which he caught 93 passes for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns, the fact of the matter is that Green Bay will not be able to afford him.
If he even hits free agency, Pickens is projected to make over $30 million a year. The Packers, quite frankly, will not pay a wide receiver that kind of money.
They are likely to even let Romeo Doubs walk instead of paying him $12 million annually.
Instead, the Packers are probably going to go into 2026 with Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, and Dontayvion Wicks as their top four wide receivers. Additionally, Tucker Kraft will resume having a large role on offense when he makes his return from a torn ACL.
