The Green Bay Packers have been at the center of numerous trades over the last few seasons. They’ve also been “in conversation” with numerous trades. That has become somewhat of a joke among Packers fans, the team always “being in conversation” but never pulling the trigger when it comes to acquiring players.
Today is was reported that one former Packers trade target was dealt for relatively cheap draft capital.
Former Green Bay Packers Trade Target Land With The Cleveland Browns

According to Vincent Pensabene of Gridiron Heroics:
The Denver Broncos have been trying to figure out what the next steps for the team will be as they already have moved on from quarterback Russell Wilson. However, he is not the only player leaving the team as Ian Rapoport is reporting the Denver Broncos are in the process of trading wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns for a fifth and sixth-round draft pick.
This move signals how both teams are approaching the 2024 season. Jeudy had a strong season as he finished last season with 54 receptions on 87 targets for 758 yards (14.0 yards per catch) with a pair of touchdown receptions.
This would give the Cleveland Browns a legitimate top two wide receivers option to pair him with Amari Cooper. With quarterback Deshaun Watson looking to get healthy, this gives the offense a legitimate threat to add. While it will be interesting to see what the draft capital will be, this is exciting.
In terms of the Denver Broncos, the mission is clear: get as many draft picks as possible and rebuild the franchise. They will likely select a quarterback in the 2024 NFL draft and rumors are swirling that they like Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy but they have some holes in the roster to address before training camp begins. Adding a pair of Day 3 picks for a talented wide receiver may not look great but has not provided that spark the team has been looking for.
Jerry Jeudy is playing on his fifth-year option and the 15th-overall pick in the 2020 draft is expected to have a base salary just shy of $13 million this season before becoming a free agent.
The Green Bay Packers Appear To Be Set At The Wide Receiver Position

Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks had outstanding first seasons as rookies. First-year pro Bo Melton surged late in the season, while second-year man Romeo Doubs was consistent all season.
As long as Christian Watson – arguably the most talented player in the group – stays healthy, this could become one of the NFL’s elite wideout groups.
There may not be a true No. 1 receiver in Green Bay like Davante Adams, Jordy Nelson or Antonio Freeman used to be. However, having a few No. 2 wideouts could ultimately improve the passing offense as a whole.
Jordan Love threw for over 4,000 yards and more than 30 touchdowns during his first year starting. This wide receivers group is no slouch.
