Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley replaced Joe Barry after the 2023 NFL season ended. A lot of Green Bay defensive players are looking forward to the 2025 season.
Hafley interviewed with the New York Jets for the head coach vacancy. Many people interviewed for the Jets job. This will not be the last time that Jeff Hafley will be getting head coaching interviews in the NFL.
Green Bay Packers Defensive Coordinator Jeff Hafley Expected To Be Back For the 2025 Season
On the NFL Talk Sports page on Twitter, they reported:
“Breaking: Packers’ DC Jeff Hafley, who interviewed with the Jets for their HC position, is expected to stay in GB, per league source.”
The New York Jets are expected to get Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn as the next head coach of the franchise. This is good news for the Green Bay Packers fanbase. The Lions lose a key coordinator potentially and the Packers keep a very good coordinator on staff for next season.

Jets were just trolling the packers because Salah went to Green Bay after they fired him. They were never going to hire him

If our d keeps improving only a matter of time before he gets a shot. My guess would be next year he gets a few interviews then in 2 years he’s gone

Hopefully we paid him well

There is no doubt that this fanbase is prepared to lose defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley to a head coaching job elsewhere in the NFL within the next couple of seasons. It will all depend upon how well this defense plays next season in Hafley’s second year with the Green Bay Packers also.
