Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed will be entering his second season in the NFL. He was a second-round pick from Michigan State and was productive for Green Bay during his rookie season. Reed played in 16 games a season ago for the Packers.
He caught 64 passes for 793 yards receiving and eight touchdowns, along with averaging 12.4 yards per catch. Reed was targeted 94 times last season. The Packers also used him in the ground game. He had 11 carries for 119 yards rushing and three touchdowns. The former Michigan State Spartans wide receiver averaged 10.8 yards per carry.
It will be interesting to see what Reed will do during his second NFL season. No wide receivers on the Packers roster a season ago went over 1,000 yards receiving.
FanDuel SportsBook Over/Under Receiving Yards For Green Bay Packers Jayden Reed is 760.5 Yards
FanDuel Sportsbook posted a lot of over/under receiving yard totals for wide receivers in the NFL for the 2024 season. One of the wide receivers they listed a prop for was the Packers’ second-year wideout. The over/under by FanDuel Sportsbook for Jayden Reed is 760.5 yards. The odds for him to reach the over and the under is both -112 odds.
No matter how you slice it, Vegas feels like it is a coin flip for him to go over or under his yardage total for the 2024 season. Jayden Reed led the team in receiving yards a season ago and was tied for the team lead in touchdowns with Romeo Doubs.
Green Bay did not have a wide receiver who went over 1,000 yards last season. Reed was only 1 of 2 players on the roster who had over 100 yards receiving in a single game during the regular season. The only other receiver to do it was Bo Melton.
With a lot of uncertainty about who Jordan Love may throw the football to this season, it may feel like a risky bet to bet over 760.5 yards for Reed this season. However, he might be the most reliable target for him this season. Someone at some point will need to emerge as the top playmaker for Green Bay. Even though the odds are the same for the over and the under, bet the over because Reed will be on the field and he doesn’t seem to be injury-prone.
