The Green Bay Packers got back on track on Sunday. After losing to the Minnesota Vikings at home in Week 4, the Packers eked out a 24-19 win on the road in Week 5 over Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams.
The Packers set the tone early in the contest, as they scored the first points off of a two-yard rushing touchdown score by running back Josh Jacobs. However, that play probably wouldn’t have been possible without the spectacular catch by wide receiver Jayden Reed.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed makes one of the most amazing catches in Week 5 of the NFL
On a second-and-10 at Green Bay’s 45-yard line, quarterback Jordan Love fired a long throw to Reed, who somehow secured the ball despite being near the left sideline and surrounded by three Rams defenders.

Reed, who played college football for the Western Michigan Broncos and Michigan State Spartans, spoke about his unreal catch following the win over the Rams.
“It was three guys I looked up and I just told myself ‘You got to make the play,’ Reed told reporters in the locker room after the game, including Kyle Malzhan of WFRV Local 5.
“They used to play in college ‘F–k it, Reed down there somewhere so just throw it up,’” added Reed as reporters laughed in the background.
“That’s trust in my teammate. I can’t throw the ball, so I just got to make the play.”
Reed finished the game with 78 receiving yards on four catches and six targets. So far in the 2024 season, Reed has 414 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 21 receptions across five games.
