The Green Bay Packers will be in playoff mode for the rest of the season. They will need to win out (and get a little help) in order to make the playoffs this season. With their last two matchups being against the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, it’s very possible.
Today, the Packers got some very good news on the injury front just days before their biggest game of the season.
The Green Bay Packers Get Two Incredible Offensive Players Back At Practice Prior To Their Matchup Against The Minnesota Vikings
According to Ryan Wood of USA Today:
Packers rookie WRs Jayden Reed (toe/chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are practicing.
Having missed all of last week’s practice due to a toe injury sustained Week 15, Reed was among the Packers inactive this past Sunday. Despite being sidelined in the second half of that game due to a chest injury, fellow wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks was able to join Reed in drills on Wednesday. At the end of the day, Green Bay’s first practice report of Week 17 preparation will reveal both players’ activity levels.
On Sunday, Wicks had two receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers. In total, he has 33 receptions for 520 yards and two touchdowns this season. In addition, Love has a 103.4 passer rating when targeting him.
Reed has accumulated 711 all purpose yards this season and eight total touchdowns. Both receivers have proven to be an important part of Green Bay’s offense this year. Getting them back at practice before their most important game of the year is huge.
