One of the most important things that made the Green Bay Packers successful a season ago was the chemistry on the field and off the field. Quarterback Jordan Love always connected with his wide receivers no matter how long they have been on the roster for.

This is what makes Love special. He made it work with whoever was on the playing field for the Green Bay Packers last season. With him entering his second season as the starting quarterback, Jordan Love is ready to take his game to another level.
Green Bay Packers Second-Year Wide Receivers Dontayvion Wicks and Jayden Reed Bond With Each Other This Offseason

Reed and Wicks were both rookies a season ago for the Packers and they will both look to make an impression in their second seasons in the NFL. Jayden Reed was a second-round pick out of Michigan State and Dontayvion Wicks was a fifth-round pick out of Virginia.
After the Green Bay Packers lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks decided to rent a four-bedroom house neat Fort Lauderdale, Florida and decided to train together for about three months before coming back to Green Bay for team workouts.
Jayden Reed told Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated:
“Just the idea of us seeing the potential that we have and just knowing how much better we can be. That’s what we talked about and that’s the goal that we set for each other. Holding each other to that standard. Getting up, going to work out. Just, ‘All right, brother.’ Just being the best we can be, really.”
Dontayvion Wicks is currently listed on the second team for the wide receiver position. Reed is projected to be one of the starting receivers along with Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. Wicks also added to Huber about working out with Reed in the offseason so far by saying:
“It went good. It’s always good being around your teammates and your brothers and working out together. That was fun. It was big time to learn from him … Just going through the things that we did this last year that we can change and get better at it.”
It is possible that in the future, Reed and Wicks could be the top two wide receivers on the Packers roster. They both combined for 103 catches for 1,374 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns. Jayden Reed is more likely than Dontayvion Wicks this season to go over 1,000 yards receiving.

None of the wide receivers on the roster a season ago went over 1,000 yards receiving. It is one of the deepest wide receiver groups in the NFL. The bonding over the past few months with Reed and Wicks will only help the Green Bay Packers move forward.
